About the Artist
Zachary Zleetni
Based in California, my work explores permanence, memory, and the structures we leave behind. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2024 with a degree in Political Science, but my education has always extended beyond institutions—through language, travel, and lived precision.
At nineteen, I became a corporate pilot flying medevac missions for organ transplants, an experience that shaped my relationship with time, discipline, and consequence. I taught myself German, Arabic, Russian, Swedish, and Farsi, drawn to the way history embeds itself in language.
Traveling through Europe, I became absorbed by architecture—forms designed to endure, to be remembered. I paint these spaces in watercolor for its clarity and restraint. The medium allows no revision, mirroring the finality and quiet authority of great architecture.
My work is an attempt to hold what lasts.
